Iggy Pop with David Bowie – 1977 (12-Inch Album on on 180g Red Vinyl)

This album showcases Iggy Pop’s electrifying concert at the Agora Theatre and Ballroom, in Cleveland, Ohio, on 21 March 1977, during Pop’s The Idiot World Tour.

After producing Iggy Pop’s debut studio album, The Idiot, David Bowie joined Pop onstage for the subsequent tour in support of the album. With Bowie playing keyboards, he assembled a band that included Ricky Gardiner on guitar, with brothers (and future Tin Machine bandmates) Tony Fox and Hunt Sales on bass and drums, respectively.

The material here is drawn almost exclusively from the Stooges’ back catalogue, including classics such as I Wanna Be Your Dog, 1969 and No Fun. Iggy Pop solo numbers featured include Sister Midnight, Funtime and Turn Blue.
